yes I FAILED yesterday, not only did I not blog, I did barely any exercise either. After working a 45 hour week and then being snowed in, I was pathetic and did not even do my yoga miracle DVD. It's my own fault if I never get a body like the yoga miracle woman.
So despite waking up to a white world, I was determined to get out there and run at least 5 miles, so I did. Well I did 5 miles, it really depends on your definition of running. It was pretty hard in the snow, both staying upright on the frozen parts and plowing through on the deep bits!
In other news I've stopped vacillating and posted off our entries to the White Peak half marathon in May. This means I really must get my ass in gear as I've been very lack luster with my running lately. I probably need a training plan. Or something. I did it in 2011 when I was a lot fitter, slimmer, younger and any other 'er' you can put in there. It's a great race with lovely scenery and only a few hundred entrants. I doubt I'll beat my time (2:12) but it's a goal.
Still no chocolates/biscuits. Yesterday was maybe my hardest day so far. I would have cracked on the alcohol had the husband not been strong. But we contented ourselves with a bowl of popcorn which really did taste incredibly sweet. So either my taste buds are adjusting, OR I put a LOT of syrup on it. Probably the latter.
Back from the run, shower, clean PJs, I'm not going ANYWHERE else today!
But now you're wiser, cannier, sneakier, stubborner and tougher. Possibly even more organised but I can't think of an "er" for that.
ReplyDeleteI had chocolate for the first time last night. I had dinner at a friends and they didn't know I'd given up, so pudding was homemade chocolate sponge and I couldn't get out of it without major offense. I had the smallest piece that I reckoned was polite, but then spent most of the night awake. I'm assuming that it was because the caffeine in the chocolate, which has put me right off chocolate for a while. Hasn't put me off biscuits though ;-)
Big thumbs up for signing up for a half marathon - that's got to help with motivation!
